These profiles will be updated on a regular basis.

 

Giles has over 25 years of finance and governance experience and has held director, CFO and senior executive roles at some of the world’s leading financial institutions, both locally and offshore.

 

This includes management roles in the following sectors; fund management, financial planning and wealth management, institutional share-broking, corporate finance and advisory, insurance, forex trading and asset finance.  As a Director, he has participated in several NZX listed bond issues, successful business acquisition and integration projects and organisation restructuring.

 

Giles has proven abilities to motivate and lead teams to achieve superior performance and is skilled in working with management to create and implement strategic plans to achieve goals such as financial outperformance, business exit and succession and scalable platforms for rapid growth.

 

Giles has a deep understanding of the New Zealand regulatory framework for businesses in the financial services sector. He helps companies recognise and manage their risks to adhere with legal requirements and works with management to implement compliance and risk frameworks to ensure compliance with the law and to meet best practise standards.

 

Giles is an Auckland based Chartered Accountant and holds a Certificate of Public Practice.

Ian is a Wellington-based Chartered Accountant.   He has over 25 years of finance and governance experience, and has held director, CFO, and senior finance roles in energy, technology, communication, and manufacturing businesses.  He is also a qualified engineer, and spent eight years in that field before moving into finance.  He has an accounting degree, and belongs to the Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Directors.

He has worked with businesses ranging from start-up technology companies through to large multinationals.  His technical competencies include financial modeling, systems improvement, planning, HR, valuations, mergers & acquisitions, and capital investment evaluation, as well as the usual core CA skills in finance, reporting, and tax.

Ian’s strengths are his practical, can-do, solution-focused approach, and his ability to simplify and resolve complex business challenges.  He has a track record of turning around businesses that have found themselves in difficulty; particularly where a finance function has encountered problems and lost the confidence of key stakeholders.

Greg is based in Albany, Auckland and has been professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant for over 25 years holding a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from the University of Auckland.

 

He is a non executive director and chairman of the audit and risk committee for an electricity generator and distributor and has other directorships. Greg has a strong background in strategy, finance and supply chain across a number of industry sectors including energy, forestry, and non government organisations. Previous roles include 10 years at the NZ Shippers Council serving as deputy chairman for 2 years and Chairman for 5 years, senior supply chain positions in Carter Holt Harvey Ltd and accounting roles in CHH and other organisations in N.Z and overseas. 

 

Greg is recognised as personable, pragmatic and honest.

Janine Manning is based in Auckland and is a qualified CA (NZICA), with an MBA from Henley Management College in the UK.  She has a broad range of financial, governance, board, management, strategic and practical skills that can be utilised within a growth company.


As an experienced business professional/entrepreneur Janine has a proven track record in leading organisations’ to achieve success. With over 21 years of senior management experience she possesses a unique set of business skills, knowledge and understanding. As a co-owner, she built a successful systems integration business in the UK that was sold to a US Fortune 500 company.


With a track record of leading organisations to achieve significant revenue growth, Janine has a real appreciation of what it takes to grow a team and business. Janine’s experience in initiating and leading change strategies results in more efficient, focused and profitable businesses. She has a history of, and is recognised for, the ability to develop long term quality relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.

Linde Judd is based in Northland and is a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant (CA). She also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University. Linde has served for several years as Chairperson of a Board appointed by the Department of Conservation Commissioner. She has held finance accountability as Finance Director, Deputy Chief Executive, Accountant General and Chief Financial Officer across private, public and not for profit sectors both in New Zealand and Overseas.

 

Linde’s experience covers areas such as significant strategic planning, reporting and business analysis through to developing, leading and motivating diverse finance teams, change management, systems development, improvement and implementation. She is experienced in providing governance advice (past NZICA national judge for governance section of annual reports) and is a qualified executive coach.

 

Linde has worked in the Computer industry, Insurance industry, US Plastics industry (Fortune 500 coy), Charities, Treasury, Central Government and Local Government. She is focused on making a difference.

Murray who is South Auckland based, is professionally qualified as a  Chartered Accountant and holds a  Certificate of Public Practice while also holding  a  Diploma in Business (Marketing ) from Auckland University.

 

Murray’s wealth of experience in SME’s includes new business start-ups, manufacturing, wholesale importation and distribution, truck assembly, farming, residential housing construction ,residential and commercial property management, biofuel feasibility studies, major capital works financial modelling coupled with project finance and associated due diligence, corporate restructures, strategic planning, systems review improvement and implementation.

Rosemary is based in Auckland and is a professionally qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants. Rosemary has worked in a variety of industry sectors including commercial property, import and export, infrastructure and primary industry (dairy farming and fisheries).  Holding senior finance positions her experience ranges from company insolvencies to compliance and statutory reporting (IFRS), process and procedure improvement along with project accounting, forecasting, budgeting and staff management.  Having spent many years as a professional contractor in New Zealand and London Rosemary possesses a high level of technical competence when dealing with complex accounting issues.  This coupled with a positive attitude gives her the ability to respond to challenges with solutions.

Bruce is based in the Auckland area with wide experience in challenging roles in both NZ and Australia involving all aspects of the commercial and financial functions including managing business risk and a wide range of commercial relationships.


Proven ability to work with a wide range of people/stakeholders and focused on getting results with no surprises and having a capacity to work under pressure.  


Broad experience in commercial environments with a significant focus on managing change, business restructuring and driving future operational performance in often complex and changing situations.


Operational exposure with multi site operations with vertically integrated supply chains requiring management of margins and volumes to improve profitability and cash flow.


Industry experience includes roles in Manufacturing/Distribution (printing/plastics/textiles/carpets), Infrastructure (water/waste/transport/electricity), Import/Retail and Telco/IT Services.

Kerry, who lives in Whitford Auckland, has a Bachelor of Management Studies (Honours) Degree from Waikato University and a Diploma in Business (Marketing) from Auckland University. He is professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant (CA) -Member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and has recently joined the Institute of Directors in New Zealand. Kerry’s wealth of experience covers a wide range of industries including Agricultural / Horticultural, Food, Import & Distribution, Industrial / Commercial, Information Technology, Not For Profit, Manufacturing, Retail, State Owned Enterprises and Telecommunications.


His specific areas of expertise include Business Advisory, Business Re-engineering & Turnarounds, Financial Management, Information Technology, Mergers & Acquisitions, Operations Management, Project Management, Sales & Marketing and Strategic Reviews.


Kerry has excellent inter-personal skills, high energy levels and the ability to work both strategically and hands on within or on a business. His commercial acumen, completer-finisher personality and focus on outperforming agreed expectations are the foundations on which he has delivered significant value to the businesses he has worked with.

Chris is based in the Waikato and was a partner in a Big 4 accounting firm for 24 years. He is professionally qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries, Certified Information Systems Auditor, Member of the Institute of Directors, and a Member of the Institute of Information Technology Professionals and offers a wide range of professional skills. He is a company director of several private companies including several world class hospitality businesses based in NZ, Fiji and South Africa and is also the co-owner of a company which provides personality profiling assessments to over 1,700 organisations in Australia and New Zealand.


Chris has a number of National Not For Profit appointments as either Chairman or Trustee. He has lived and worked in Montreal, Canada, and in Cleveland in the United States working for a Big 4 accounting firm where he specialised in computer auditing and consulting but is pleased to call New Zealand home.

Tania is Nelson based currently however has travelled both nationally and internationally while on assignment - B.Com / CA qualified she has held finance accountability at Finance Director, Financial Controller and Regional Finance leadership level within the hotel sector. Her experience is predominantly in service industries within major global companies and within New Zealand in the district health board space.   Her experience extends from significant planning, reporting and analytical requirements to developing, motivating and leading diverse finance teams, systems development and improvement and implementation of  information technology solutions. She is experienced in internal audit reporting within the U.S. Sarbanes Oxley environment.  Tania has extensive project management experience, including co-ordinating and planning change of business ownership, amalgamation of existing businesses and commencement of new business operations from a Greenfields environment.  Tania is equally comfortable working from a high level strategic perspective as she is owning the hands on detail and is very much driven to achieve operational excellence in a pragmatic and timely fashion.

Joe is Dunedin based - is B.Com with Honours qualified and has travelled extensively and worked internationally.  He has over twenty years' experience in financial management in organisations of significant scale including a stint in heavy earth-moving equipment and related mining industry experience. In spite of working in very large organisations, his approach is very hands-on and he is equally comfortable analysing financial and production data ensuring it is tailored for for the seniority and understanding of his audience. His problem solving skills are exemplary and he is recognised for putting in the hard graft to complete his assignments on time to a high standard.

Terry is based in the Waikato  having recently relocated from Auckland.  He is a qualified accountant (ACA and ACIS) with a history of success as the senior financial officer in various industries including manufacturing,  food, and import/distribution. He delivers tangible value by quickly identifying and promoting action from an understanding of the key business drivers and how best to optimise performance. He is highly technology literate with a “can do” attitude and which is complimented by a willingness to "roll up the sleeves" and deliver . His work in both creating and enhancing robust business systems means a reliable framework is established for all stakeholders.

Morgan is based in the Bay of Plenty and brings extensive business, tax and treasury experience from New Zealand and major global organisations.   His analytic skill and ability to work across multiple disciplines enables both problem  solving and identifying opportunities to unlock value.  Following on from analysis and ideas, his personable and dedicated approach ensures delivery.  Morgan operates under a philosophy of ‘understand, engage and deliver’ and continues to consult internationally employing his recognized business judgment and financial risk analysis.

Nic has significant experience across a wide range of commercial entities in the areas of utilities -telecommunications and power, agri-processing and transportation, superannuation funds and core manufacturing. Nic assists a variety of commercial  and public sector entities in business process improvement, performance benchmarking, systems implementation, commercial restructuring and business analysis across the North Island. His wide experience in these sectors is reflected in the ability to execute strategic commercial decisions enhanced with his engaging management style. Nic is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Gordon is based in the Waikato – BoP area and comes with extensive experience at CEO/GM level, particularly in the primary manufacturing and FMCG sector. Working with medium to large companies he has actively led and managed a full range of business functions and is experienced in the negotiation and implementation of organisational changes including mergers and acquisitions and business restructuring. He has particular strengths in business transformations, business excellence, governance, business advice and mentoring, change leadership and senior management locum assignments.

Christo lives in the Waikato and brings years of experience as a business owner of his own construction and hardware business. He is MBA, CPA and B.Com qualified having achieved  CFO and Director level in a significant high profile international Group. He specialises in design and implementation of MRP and management information systems. Well versed in food and textile industries, Christo has considerable commercial know-how  in these sectors including business turn arounds. He is a member of the Institute for Independent Business (UK) business mentors as well as CPA Australia.

Owen is an accomplished CFO / CEO with a strong bias in the Dairy and pastoral science sector. He has established quality assurance standards within the Dairy sector and his achievements include business turn around, capital raising, and project management.  Owen is extremely personable and recognised for his persuasive ability, honesty, and integrity.

Shane has worked across a diverse range of businesses both overseas and in New Zealand from the small to the very large including a stint as CFO of our national airline. He currently Chairs on the Board of an electricity distribution company and has performed numerous consulting roles across the aviation sector - his comfort extends beyond CFO to include interim CEO roles which he has performed in the past.  His commercial accumen is therefore underpinned by a sound understanding of corporate governance. He has consulted to a global professional services firm regarding the establishment of their strategic advisory practise and is recognised for his pragmatism and robust problem solving skills and friendly nature.

Geoff is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants in the UK, and is close to finishing his Chartered Secretarial qualification in New Zealand.  Having  graduated in bio chemistry in the UK, he completed a Masters of Applied Finance (Treasury Management) in New Zealand. Clients can expect Geoff to combine a genuine hands-on approach with his extremely strong academic understanding of corporate governance and risk management. Far from working in the abstract, Geoff has applied this knowledge both as a CFO and later as a Director of a significant New Zealand corporate in the pastoral science and security sector and currently holds two other Directorships. Geoff approaches business improvement initiatives with pragmatism and is grounded in the way he engages with the business and people working in it. He is currently based in the Waikato but will soon be moving to Northland where he and his wife own a lifestyle block.  Geoff has expressed interest in assisting medium sized NZ companies in growth mode challenged by the complexities of interest and foreign currency hedging, his area of specialisation.

Tim lives in the Auckland area and is a CFO with significant experience in leading finance teams of prominent financial services companies in both NZ and overseas.  His successes include performing due diligences and valuations of targeted acquisitions and structuring finance teams so they achieve optimal performance. He has also had extensive experience in business excellence and balanced scorecard reporting. Tim is a qualified Chartered Management Accountant which is a recognised international qualification.

Daniel is a Waikato based business advisor and chartered accountant with experience within the livestock, manufacturing and professional services industries complimented by “not for profit” engagements. Having initially worked in the UK for a prestigious leading chartered accounting practice as their Senior Management Accountant, his subsequent roles in the commercial sector blended responsibilities for financial stewardship and management information. It is clear that Daniel has a sound understanding of ERP systems and internal controls and ‘rolls up his sleeves’ to get the job done. Daniel can lead and manage the Finance function, while identifying opportunities for improvement. His collaborative style, combined with his systems and process experience make him an ideal choice for project work.

Andrea is based in the Rodney District (North of Auckland) and holds degrees in accounting and applied business management. Her experience comprises an interesting blend of chartered accounting and roles in commerce with NZ and German household names. Her highly tuned technical skills and her ability to analyse and improve procedures through best practise assessment further advance efficiency in business operations. This is complimented by well-rounded interpersonal skills - and yet she is very task-orientated, and meets deadlines with ease. Andrea has run her own business demonstrating commercial acumen at a time when the world economy was in melt down, and her business has survived the experience.
